This price category on console is a tricky one. While this price category offers some seriously great equipment for the price when using a PC, the available equipment for console is pretty meager.
Due to compatibility issues, most off the equipment for pc is not existing for console players and the equipment that is console compatible has a higher price compared to the PC.
For these reasons i will list the possible options of the price category below.
But i would not recommend to go with this category (300-500€). Here are my recommendations:
1. Spend less money and start your sim racing journey one price category lower (~150-200€)
2. Safe a bit more money and go with the equipment one tier higher (600-700€)
3. play on PC if possible to have a wide variety of gear choices
Option of this price tier:
Moza R3 Bundle
(XBOX compatible)

Here are a few a notes to help you decide:
Compared to the lower price category the R3 offers the following features:
- a direct drive wheelbase, a bit more precise force feedback
- is quieter
- build quality is a bit better
- interchangeable steering wheels
- good ecosystem of Moza
Reasons why i would not choose the R3 over the lower category:
- only minor increase in the wheelbase force (3Nm vs 2,5 Nm)
- nearly double the price compared to the lower category
What you will get with the higher price category:
- 5-8 Nm wheelbase force
- alot more refined force feedback
- more immersion and realistic racing feeling
- 200-300€ increase in price
Here are your setup choices:
To elevate your sim racing experience, investing in the right additional equipment can make a significant difference in immersion, comfort and performance. Beyond the essential components like a wheelbase, steering wheel, and pedals, a thoughtful decision about your cockpit- and display-setup can bring you closer to the feel of real racing.
When starting out with Sim Racing the simplest and cheapest option is to mount your wheel directly to your office desk. When playing on Console this is more often than not, not an option because your console is hooked up to your TV and a suitable table for Sim Racing in front of your TV is not available.
Thus the best setups for console players are either a wheelstand, a foldable cockpit or an aluminium profile rig.
A Wheelstand offers a mounting both for your wheelbase and your pedals. Preventing the pedals from moving is the biggest benefit here. Another benefit for you could be that you can move your setup easily around. However a Wheelstand takes up space when not in use and you have to use a separate chair to drive. While a Wheelstand provides a stable mounting solution the upright seating position is far from being realistic and comfortable.
A foldable cockpit, on the other hand, provides a more realistic and comfortable seating position with an integrated seat and mounting points for the wheel and pedals. This makes longer racing sessions more enjoyable while still being space-saving due to its collapsible design.
The third and most advanced setup is an aluminium profile rig. If you want the most immersive experience go for this option. With an aluminium profile rig you have a very rigid cockpit that does not bend or wobble when racing. It also includes a comfortable racing seat and creates a seating position that is similar to real live racing cars. A profile rig has also the best customizability. If you want to add additional equipment to your setup or want a new wheelbase later down the road, you can easily stick to your existing cockpit.
The only downsides are that you need a separate space and the price is alot higher to the two options above.
